i'm wondering if it is possible to join several mp3 files in to 1 file.

if so- what programmes do people use

It certainly is possible. I personally use either Audacity or Sound Forge, since they're pretty accessible. Audacity is even free. I'm sure there are programs out there which are meant for that actual purpose, and i'm sure someone will tell you about them. But this definately works.

I'd definitely go with audacity. You can open both files and then paste them in to one continuous file. There are wonderful guides available for using Jaws or a screen reader with audacity. Google audacity jaws guide. Version 2.0 of audacity has just been released.

There is also MP3Trim which I believe can do this.
What I'd like to do is swop the channels on some mp3 files without having to open them up and re-save them.
